Every Service Station Retailer and Repair Shop owner should become better acquainted with our policies, out activities Every and the people who put their shoulders to the wheel to make this Association possible. For Seventy-two years we have served the automotive service industry and the retail gasoline trade. We are a dues paying membership organization. There are no paid board members or officers. Our policies and our plans are decided upon by an elected Executive Committee and Board of Directors who unselfishly give their time and effort and serve with total dedication.
Political and Legislative activities in Albany, Washington, City Hall, Nassau and Suffolk counties and elsewhere are regular on-going functions of GASDA/LIPDRA. Our members viewpoint on matters such as environmental problems, oil company relations, motor vehicle repair and inspection regulations, plus all other industry concerns are constantly driven home be GASDA/LIPDRA’s elected Directors and paid professional staff. Endless pages could be written about the daily activities of this Association which aid the service station operator and repair shop owner in their daily struggle to secure a fair return for their labor and for their investment.
To further our aims we are affiliated with and an active integral part of the New York State Association of Service Stations and Repair Shops Inc. and the Service Station Dealers of America & Allied Trades. Together with associations throughout New York state and from all over the country we actively promote and aggressively fight for legislation that will keep our members in business and afford them the opportunity to remain respected members of the American small business community.
The basic purpose of this non-profit Trade Association is to generally further the interests of the Retail Gasoline and Automotive Repair Industry and to continually educate members and provide them with cost saving services and programs. |
